DEIW02 - Roadmap to Diversity Inclusion and wellbeing: History of Race, Racism, and Race Relations

This course will create an understanding of the historical context of race, diversity, and inequity in western society. It will examine the benefits of racial diversity and how you can be part of the solution to foster racial diversity. Objectives: • Understanding the connection between race, diversity, racialization • The dynamics of race inequity and its impact • Understanding the impact of racial inequity. • Explore the benefits of racial diversity in workplaces. • Understand why saying, “I don’t see colour” is a denial of the identity and distinctiveness of one’s ancestry.
